Barbi has a secret: She leads a double life. To the public and her friends, she is a famous Hollywood actress and fashion model. Amityville Barbi: The Movie is a new horror comedy film from Deadsville Productions written and directed by veteran stunt coordinator Ronin James, who promises "hi-octane action and stunts, combined with excessive amounts of blood and practical special fx."
The rest of the team attached to the project so far include Stephanie Jones (co-writer, producer), Wesley Mellot (cinematographer), Isabel Isel of Trauma Queen FX (spfx), Matt Burns (producer), Alexandra Assaf (artist) and Gina Martino of Gina Martino Casting (casting director).
Currently in pre-production, the IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign begins on FRIDAY, April 26, 2024, and features perks like screen-used props and wardrobe, producer credits, special thanks, and more. More details and pitch video here:
Casting calls are currently going on, with an emphasis on actors with stunt and martial arts backgrounds for some of the stunt-heavy roles. Shooting dates are Oct/Nov 2024.
